(NAB)
Rev 22:16-21
16 "I, Jesus, sent my angel to give you this testimony for the
churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning
star."
17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let the hearer say,
"Come." Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants
it receive the gift of life-giving water.
18 I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if
anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in
this book,
19 and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book,
God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy
city described in this book.
20 The one who gives this testimony says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all..."
(Navarre Bible RSV)
Romans 3:28-30
28 "...For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from
works of law.
29 Or is god the god of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles
also? Yes, gentiles also,
30 since god is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the
ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their
faith..."
(Navarre Bible RSV)
Romans 2:13
13 "...For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous
before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified..."
(Navarre Bible RSV)
Romans 2:6-8
6 "...For he will render to every man according to his works:
7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honour
and immortality, he will give eternal life;
8 but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but
obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury..."
(Navarre Bible RSV)
Romans 3:9-10
9 "...What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all; for I
have already charged that all men, both Jews and Greeks, are under
the powewr of sin,
10 as it is written: None is righteous, no, not one;..."
(Navarre Bible RSV)
Galatians 6:7-10
7 "...Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man
sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap
corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap
eternal life.
9 And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we
shall reap, if we do not lose heart.
10 So then as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and
especially to those who are of the household of faith..."
