Protestantism Promoting Individual Biblical
Interpretation.
Consequences of Individual Interpretation of the Bible:
Cascading Divisions within Protestantism - Historical Failure.
Early Protestant reformers of the 16th century like Martin
Luther, Martin Bucer, Ulrich Zwingli, and John Calvin promoted
individual judgment and interpretation of the Bible. They rejected
outside authority (John 17: 20-23) (Luke 10: 16) that is, the Holy
Spirit sent upon the Church by Christ, to teach and guide the
Church, as a universal body, in matters of faith and morals. In
effect, we had Korah's revolt on a grand scale (Num. 16:2-33) (Jude
1:4-8). This revolt or protest of Protestantism, (similar to a
modern day Korah's revolt) continues today, contributing to the
wide spread use of artificial contraceptives.
The resulting fact is: When viewed on an extended time scale, an increase in the use of artificial
contraceptives in a society always leads to an increase in abortion
in that society. Artificial contraceptives would work in reducing abortions if human behaviour also changed and became more self-controled - more virtuous.
Use of artificial contraceptives enables, and facilitates a lifestyle which is sinful; contrary to the Natural Law. In the short term use of artificial contraceptives may reduce abortions;
but use of artifical contraceptives in the long term sustains abortions. Use of Natural Family Planning (NFP) harmonizes with, that is, recognizes the sovereignty of God and the Natural Law
and is consistant with love and responsibility. A person has free will, and may believe as they wish. However, even though a person does not believe in God, they must still must obey the Natural Law.

Playing with Fire.
If every person or each individual denomination is an authority
unto himself, interpreting the Bible we then have confusion and
chaos. It would be like "playing with fire." The Bible needs an
"authority having jurisdiction" to interpret it. And it has one -
the Catholic Church. Unlike the Catholic Church, Protestant
"churches" [ more properly "faith communities" since there are not
multiple bodies of Christ with different "truth's" ]
do not have the guarantee of the Holy Spirit, ( authority
) to keep them from falling into error as a body, in matters of
faith and morals. Therefore, we have well over 20,000 Protestant
denominations with a wide variety of doctrines, each claiming to be
correct ( or more correct ) than the other on interpreting the
Bible. For example, Martin Luther, John Calvin, and other early
Protestant reformers condemned Contraception. In 1930, at the
Lambeth Conference, the Anglican Bishops of the Church of England
decided to no longer consider Contraception sinful, leaving the
matter up to individual consciences. This has lead to confusion and
division, and again, this is like "playing with fire." Soon
thereafter, most Protestant denominations followed the Anglican
Bishops and allowed Contraception. The Protestant reformation (
deformation ) was a turning away from the unity and fullness of the
Truth in the One True Catholic Church. It was a turn towards chaos,
cascading divisions, a shorter Bible and an avalanche of lesser
"truths" in many Protestant Churches. Just recently ( Nov. 2003 ),
a major Protestant Church ordained an openly homosexual bishop.
This may result in yet another cascading division, another
"truth". Update: As of November 2009 the cascading divisions continue to wound Christianity; but the Pope has extended a theological bridge accross the Tiber to Rome. And the story continues . . .

Man is not the Arbitrator of Life

It is a Charitable Work of Mercy to Admonish the Sinner
Pratice the virtue of self control.
Natural family Planning Acknowledges The sovereignty of
God.
To love someone, as in marriage, is a decision.
Love in marriage, is a decision to wish the highest good for the
other person.
The highest good is that the beloved goes to heaven. It is not
love to confirm someone in sin (or to do nothing "go along" with
sin). It is not love to help someone else make provisions for
habitually sin and be presumptuous of God's mercy. We are all
called to be Holy.
Matthew 5:48
"...be perfect... as your heavenly father is
perfect..."

1 Peter 15-22
15 "...But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you
do;
16 for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
17 Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work
impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent
fear.
18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as
silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life
handed down to you from your fore-fathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or
defect.
20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed

glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

God has allowed us to cooperate with Him, within marriage, on the
gift of new life.
Artificial Contraception is a rejection of the gift of God; not
trusting that God loves us and knows what is best for us.
Artificial Contraception fails to acknowledge The sovereignty of
God.
Artificial Contraception is sin. Man was not
empowered by God to be the arbitrator of life - to cause abortion -
or to use artificial contraceptives. Artificial
contraceptives often kill a human person within the first few hours
of his or her life. A person is not a something
or a specimen. From the moment of conception, a person is
somebody made in Gods image and likeness.
It took an act of God to start this new life -
even if (rare cases) the new life was conceived in a rape. The
child conceived in rape is completely innocent.It is our duty to
pray for everyone involved and do corporal and spiritual works of
mercy.
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church 2447:
" . . . The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we
come to the aid of our neighbor in his spiritual and bodily
necessities.[241] Instructing, advising, consoling, comforting are
spiritual works of mercy, as are forgiving and bearing wrongs
patiently. The corporal works of mercy consist especially in
feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked,
visiting the sick and imprisoned, and burying the dead. .
."

We do not have the right to substitute our judgment for God's
judgment. We do not have the right to play God.Man is not the
arbitrator of life.
Truth is a Matter of Life and Death Eternally-so Choose
Life.
A person is unique; has great potential; has transcendent rights,
and dignity. (Isaiah 49:1-5). Artificial Contraception violates the
commandment of love of others (John 13:34-35; 15:12-17) and the
commandment thou shall not kill.
Teaching, selling, or using artificial Contraception
(methods) is sin; an abuse of human freedom. It is a
wrongful encroachment of, and violation of Gods sacred domain. Loss
of the sight of God, leads to an appeal to pride and self. Then,
claiming to be progressive or
modern the sinner, then claims
rights (often legal rights) not given by
God.[See my article: Natural Law] These supposedly legal rights are
contrary to Natural Law and are not authentic law.
[Remember at Nuremburg 1945-1946 the Nazi defendants
claimed that: " . . . they did not break any of the laws of
Germany. . ." Notice especially, in the example of
the trial of Albert Speer, that there is such a thing as Natural
Law. There is such a thing as religious truth.]
Notice especially, that human life needs protection now;
whether or not everyone in society has acknowledged that truth or
not.
Persons who are holy and sanctified may try in a loving way to warn
the sinner that his or her actions or deeds are immoral. It
is a charitable work of mercy to admonish the sinner!
Rebellion of the sinner has it's roots in pride and self.
Sometimes the rebellion has its roots in intellectual pride that
may come with a Masters Degree or Ph.D, international fame, or great
wealth. The person may have a view of himself that he or she is "above" a kind of "educated elite."
More often the rebellion is related to family emotional hurts or
wounds;
rebellion against authority, one of the relatives, - father or
mother - or against the Church
(It seems to me that fathers and sons have the most difficulty -
many people do not know who their father is.)The sinner will often
times revolt - even quoting the Bible. The sinner will dismiss,
accuse, and condem their good and saintly friend(s). The sinner
will accuse (him or her or the Church or even God) of
medelling or being
judgmental.
The rebellious sinner will use terms that appeal to
pride and self like modern, progressive, inclusive, or personal
choice. Sometimes they will appeal to Law [see article: Natural
Law] or Legal Rights.
The good and saintly person, a true friend, is actually doing a
charitable work of mercy, and the work of God, by admonishing the
sinner. He or she is not at all wrong in judging an act, such as
abortion or artificial Contraception as sinful. Artificial
Contraception may kill a one hour old, or one day old
somebody, - a person with the transcendent right to
life.
It is not charity to confirm someone in sin. It would be wrong to
just stand by and say nothing, while the sinner(s) perform, make
provisions for, or teaches, their evil works.
Having loss sight of God, and using appealing
terms like personal choice, modern, progressive, the sinner
deepens his rebellion by committing the ultimate abuse of freedom
in breaking the commandment thou shall not kill. This is
separation from God, and with it comes the radical possibility of,
an eternity in hell (Luke 3:16-17) (2 Thess. 1:6-9) ( Matt. 25:
41,46) for the unrepentant. the Church prays, leaving judgment to
Almighty God.
A reminder to the rebellious proud: Your can obey the Church
now, or obey Satan for all eternity, but your going to obey
someone.
Any law that is not in accord with Natural Law is
Not Authentic Law
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are
created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
rights,
that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness . .
Cooperation with a Moral Evil is Sin

The seriousness of the sin, of cooperation with a moral evil,
depends on many facts, and may be classified as either: "formal
cooperation" or "material cooperation" with a moral evil.
We have a right or a duty to disobey an unjust law, that is
not in accord with Natural Law.
[For example: In Montgomery Alabama, (1955) a Black women Rosa
Parks, by law, had to sit in the back of a city bus and stand if a
white person needed a seat. Rosa Parks courageously refused to give
up her seat to a white man. She was arrested. The unjust
law, discriminated, based on race or color, and was eventually
changed. Rosa Parks has been called the mother of the
civil rights movement.]
Sin and evil has primordial roots, (its echoes) in the disobedience
of Adam and Eve:
(Genesis 3:5) you will be like God.
God has allowed us to cooperate with Him, within marriage,
on the gift of new life. Artificial Contraception is a rejection of
the gift of God; not trusting that God loves us and knows what is
best for us. Sin can be the love of oneself, even to the
contempt of truth; contempt of God. Sin and evil has primordial
roots, (its echoes) in the disobedience of Adam and Eve: (Genesis
3:5) you will be like God.
Incredulity: The willful refusal to assent to revealed
truth, or even the neglect of truth. If an individual
is obstinate (Exodus 33:5) or incredulous God will assist that
individual on his or her individual judgment day to acknowledging
absolute truth. . . .every knee shall bow to me, and every
tongue shall confess to God. . . (Romans 14:11).
Once again - Truth is a Matter of Life and Death Eternally - So
Choose Life.
