A Culture of Death

Another early Church problem that continues to grow more virulent today is the Culture of Death. Archeological evidence ( artifacts ) from the 3rd and 4th centuries, has shown that Roman homes were decorated with pornographic art, and items similar to those found in brothels. Marriage was often of older men to young girls, and the wedding night often amounted to rape. The widespread acceptance of abortion and indifferentism to moral evil, accelerated social decay and led, along with other factors, to the eventual fall of Rome. In this period of time, the Roman Empire was already having military conflicts with the Goths. Later, in 410 A.D. Rome would be conquered by Alaric and the Visigoths; the Roman Empire would fall in 476 A.D. It was during this time period that contraception and abortion were practiced in violation of Gods sacred space.

Sacred Space = some areas are proper to God
and some areas are proper to man or angels.

Especially notice here in this example from Genesis, that God made human freedom very broad. God also set reasonable limits to our freedom. Beyond these reasonably set limits are areas proper only to God. God sets some limits to human freedom, because in His Fatherly love He knows what is best for us. The areas proper only to God I call sacred space. ( Genesis 2:15-17 NIV ) . . . 15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die . . . In the next example, notice especially the phrase and you must not touch it added by Eve in this next chapter from Genesis.
( Genesis 3:2-3 NIV ) . . . 2 The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die . . . By adding the phrase and you must not touch it - a very subtle addition to Gods words - Eve makes God seem rather unloving and unreasonable.
Adam and Eve did not trust God. Adam and Eve did not trust that God loved them, and wanted only the best for them. Original sin was a denial of the gift of Gods love.

Man is Not the Arbitrator of Life.
Use of Artificial Contraceptives is an Abuse of Human Freedom.

Man is not the arbitrator of life. Artificial contraception or abortion is a violation of sacred space; it is sin. Man was not empowered by God to cause abortion, or to use artificial contraceptives. To do so is usurpation of power, an illegal seizure; a wrongful encroachment of and violation of sacred space. Praticing contraception or abortion is similar to the sin of Adam and Eve. It is a rejection of the gift of God; not trusting that God loves us and knows what is best for us. It is sin. Sin of any kind, subverts and destroys unity. Sin can be the love of oneself, even to the contempt of truth; contempt of God. Sin has its primordial roots, ( its echoes ) in the disobedience of Adam and Eve ( Genesis 3:5 ) you will be like God. Adam and Eve had denied the gift of God. Adam and Eve did not trust God - that God loved them and knew what was best for them. Satan and the angels had violated sacred spaceand also suffered the consequences:
( Jude 1:6 ) . . . And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day . . .
( 1 John 4:17 New Jerusalem Bible ) . . . Love comes to its perfection in us when we can face the Day of Judgement fearlessly, because in this world we have become as he is . . . I can not find a single verse in the Bible allowing artificial contraceptives. In this world, have we become like Christ, if we use contraceptives?

Original Man and Original woman.
Both Naked without Shame.

Use self-control as a 100% safe and effective method of birth control. Married couples can use Natural Family Planning ( NFP ), thereby obeying God and His plan in the beginning. Remember in the beginning, original man and original woman were naked without shame because they both respected the dignity of the other person, made in the image and likeness of God. In the beginning, original man and original woman did not look upon each other as a "thing" to be used. That is why there was no need to hide, or guard the parts of the body which after the Fall ( Gn 3.5 ) might stir up lust in the other. After the Fall, the woman had to now guard her own secret garden - her garden enclosed because Adam, her husband failed to guard the Garden.[ This is all explained in the Theology of the Body. ] After the Fall, both Adam and Eve, had to cover up and guard their dignity. We should strive to become as we were intended to be in the beginning, that is, like original man and original woman, according to Gods plan. Under the New Testament; taking into consideration the Sermon on the Mount by Jesus Christ, we can take our virtues up to an even higher level. We have the example of a perfect Human Being - Jesus Christ! We can put on Christ. My sweetheart, my bride, is a secret garden, a walled garden, a private spring;
There is one truth. Truth is a matter of life and death eternally- choose life eternally!
Truth is a person - Jesus Christ ( Jn. 14:6 ).

An Increase in Contraception in a Society,
Always results in an Increase in Abortion in that Society.

FACT: More Contraception = More Abortion.

The fact is, that an increase in contraception in a society, always results in an increase in abortion in that society. In part, because of psychological factors, the results are the same for any society in the world.
Knowing that an increase in the use of contraceptives, always leads to an increase in abortions; one manager of an abortion clinic in Dallas, Texas involved herself in sex education at local high schools. The abortion mill manager even provided students with low dose birth control pills in order to promote promiscuity. The results: more promiscuity, more pregnancies, and more abortion business. This former abortion clinic manager, Carol Everett, has now turned and become pro-life. Carol Everett shares her story in her autobiography, The Scarlet Lady: Confessions of a Successful Abortionist. Abortion kills tens of millions of persons; it is a culture of death.
Truth is a matter of life and death - eternally.

Todays Architects of the Culture of Death.

Todays architects of the culture of death are, in part by degree, that is: all those who encourage, teach, or participate in abortion or contraception, and whomever may be deliberately choosing not to know the truth, as written on their hearts - Natural Law ( Jeremiah 31:33 ). Authentic law should not violate the Natural Law. Natural Law is written by God on the fleshy tablets of our hearts. Under United States law a person is entitled to believe that you do not have a soul; but he is not permitted to carry out that belief by killing you. Freedom to believe as you wish, should not be confused with the freedom to destroy other people. Under the New Covenant, God, the Weigher of the heart, will hold men and woman accountable for their intentions - even their thoughts ( Mt. 5:27 ) - as well as their deeds
( Rev 2:23 ) ( Jeremiah 11:20; 17:10 ) ( Rev. 21: 11-15 ).

( Proverbs 24:11-12 ) . . . Save those being dragged towards death, but can you rescue those on their way to execution? If you say, But look, we did not know, will the Weigher of the heart pay no attention? Will not the Guardian of your soul be aware and repay you as your deeds deserve? . . .

Feigned Ignorance and Hardness of Heart Do Not Diminish,
but rather Increase,
The Voluntary Character of Sin.

Man is not the arbitrator of life. Abortion and contraception are a violation of Natural Law. Those who are deliberate in choosing not to know that is: Feigned ignorance and hardness of heart do not diminish, but rather increase, the voluntary character of sin. [ CCC #1859, page 455.] (Mark 3:5-6) (Luke 16:19-31). A person is culpable for the evil he or she commits when they take little trouble to find out what is true and good, or when conscience is by degrees almost blinded through the habit of committing sin. In such cases, the person is culpable for the evil he commits.[ CCC # 1791, page 441 ].
God alone must judge individuals ( Romans 2:16 ) ( 1 Corinthians 4:5; 5:12-13 ).

( Jeremiah 17:10 New Jerusalem Bible ) . . . I, Yahweh, search the heart, test the motives, to give each person what his conduct and his actions deserve . . .

( Matthew 25:40 New Jerusalem Bible ) . . . And the King will answer, In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.. . .

Very recently, (01/29/05) I listened to Father John Corapi in person. Speaking about human freedom and other subjects at the Cathedral of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Father John Corapi said something like this: you can either obey the Pope [Vicar of Christ] now, or obey Satan for all eternity later on - but your going to obey someone. Father John Corapi spoke the Truth, in love, and in charity.

Artificial contraception is sin. Man was not empowered by God to be the arbitrator of life - to cause abortion - or to use artificial contraceptives. Artificial contraceptives often kill a human person within the first few hours of his or her life. A person is not a something or a specimen. From the moment of conception, a person is somebody made in Gods image and likeness. A person is unique; has great potential; has transcendent rights, and dignity. (Isaiah 49:1-5). Artificial contraception violates the commandment of love of others (John 13:34-35; 15:12-17) and the commandment thou shall not kill. Teaching, selling, or using artificial contraception (methods) is sin; an abuse of human freedom. It is a wrongful encroachment of, and violation of Gods sacred domain. Loss of the sight of God, leads to an appeal to pride and self. Then, claiming to be progressive or modern the sinner, then claims rights not given by God. Persons who are holy and sanctified may try in a loving way to warn the sinner that his or her actions or deeds are immoral. It is a charitable work of mercy to admonish the sinner!

Rebelion of the sinner has it's roots in pride and self.
Sometimes the rebellion has its roots in intellectual pride that may come with a Masters Degree or Ph.D or international fame or great wealth.
More often the rebellion is related to family emotional hurts or wounds;
rebelion against one of the parents - father or mother - or against the Church.

The sinner will often times rebel - even quoting the Bible. The sinner will dismiss, accuse, and condem their good and saintly friend(s). The sinner will accuse (him or her or the Church or even God) of medeling or being judgemental. The good and saintly person, a true friend, is actually doing a charitable work of mercy, and the work of God, by admonishing the sinner. He or she is not at all wrong in judging an act, such as abortion or artificial contraception as sinful. Artifical contraception may kill a one hour old, or one day old somebody, - a person with the transendent right to life.

It is not charity to confirm someone in sin. It would be wrong to just stand by and say nothing, while the sinner(s) perform (or teach) their evil acts.
Having loss sight of God, and using appealing terms like personal choice, the sinner deepens his rebellion by committing the ultimate abuse of freedom in breaking the commandment thou shall not kill. This is separation from God, and with it comes the radical possibility of, an eternity in hell (Luke 3:16-17) (2 Thess. 1:6-9) ( Matt. 25: 41,46) for the unrepentant. The Church prays, leaving judgment to Almighty God.

A reminder to the rebellious proud: Your can obey the Church now, or obey Satan for all eternity, but your going to obey someone.

Cooperation with a Moral Evil is Sin

The seriousness of the sin, of cooperation with a moral evil, depends on many facts, and may be classified as either: "formal cooperation" or "material cooperation" with a moral evil. We have a right or a duty to disobey an unjust law.
[For example: In Montgomery Alabama, (1955) a Black women Rosa Parks, by law, had to sit in the back of a city bus and stand if a white person needed a seat. Rosa Parks courageously refused to give up her seat to a white man. She was arrested. The unjust law, discriminated, based on race or color, and was eventually changed. Rosa Parks has been called the mother of the civil rights movement.]

Sin and evil has primordial roots, (its echoes) in the disobedience of Adam and Eve:
(Genesis 3:5) you will be like God.

God has allowed us to cooperate with Him, within marriage, on the gift of new life. Artificial contraception is a rejection of the gift of God; not trusting that God loves us and knows what is best for us. Sin can be the love of oneself, even to the contempt of truth; contempt of God. Sin and evil has primordial roots, (its echoes) in the disobedience of Adam and Eve: (Genesis 3:5) you will be like God.
Incredulity: The willful refusal to assent to revealed truth, or even the neglect of truth. If an individual is obstinate (Exodus 33:5) or incredulous God will assist that individual on his or her individual judgment day to acknowledging absolute Truth. . . .every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. . . (Romans 14:11). Once again - Truth is a Matter of Life and Death Eternally-so Choose Life.
