Hanukah Prayers

Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheynu Melech ha'olam.
Asher kidshanu be'mitzvotav ve'tzivanu le'hadlik ner shel Hanukah.

Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe,
Who has sanctified us by Your commandments, and commanded us to kindle the light of Hanukah.

Baruch ata Adonai Eloheynu Melech ha'olam.
Sheasa nisim la'avoteynu ba'yamim hahem ba'zman hazeh.

Blessed are You, O'Lord our God, King of the universe,
Who wrought miracles for our fathers in days of old, and this season.


Simhat Torah Prayer and Song

Baruch ata Adonai Eloheynu Melech ha'olam shehehiyanu ve'kiymanu ve'higianu la'zman ha'zeh.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe,
Who has kept us in life, and has preserved us, and enabled us to reach this season.

Who has sanctified us by Your commandments, and has commanded us to read the Megillah.


Shabbat Prayers

Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheynu Melech ha'olam.
Asher kidshanu be'mitzvotav ve'tzivanu le'hadlik ner shel Shabbat.

Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe,
Who has made us holy by Your commandments, and commanded us to light the Shabbat candle.

Yesimcha Elohim ke'Efraim ve'Chimnashe.
God, make thee as Efraim and Menasheh.

Yesimech Elohim ke'Sarah Rivkah Rachel ve'Leah.
God, make thee as Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel and Leah.

Yevarchecha Adonai ve'yshmerecha; Ya'er Adoni panav eleicha vichunecha; ysa Adoni panav eilecha ve'yasem lecha shalom.
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee; the Lord make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; the Lord turn His face unto thee, and give thee peace.
