Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel
written by Pope Leo Xlll at the beginning of the 20th century.

St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle,
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly hosts, by the power of God
Thrust into hell Satan and all other evil spirits
Who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Apostles' Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified;
died, and was buried.

He descended into hell;
the third day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
from there he shall come
to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
he resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of St. Francis.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.

Lord, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled, as to console.
To be understood, as to understand.
To be loved, as to love.
for it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Psalm 51

Have mercy on me, God, in your kindness. In your compassion blot out my offense.
O wash me more and more from my guilt and cleanse me from my sin.
My offenses truly I know them; my sin is always before me.
Against you, you alone, have I sinned; what is evil in your sight I have done.
That you must be justified when you give sentence and be without reproach when you judge.
O see, in guilt I was born, a sinner I was conceived.
Indeed you love truth in the heart; then in the secret of my heart teach me wisdom.
O purify me, then I shall be clean; O wash me, I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me hear rejoicing and gladness, that the bones you have crushed may revive.
From my sins turn away your face and blot out all my guilt.
A pure heart create for me, O God, put a steadfast spirit within me.
O not cast me away from your presence, nor deprive me of your holy spirit.
Give me again the joy of your help; with a spirit of fervor sustain me.
That I may teach transgressors your ways and sinners may return to you.

Psalm 100.

Cry out with joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness.
Come before Him, singing for joy.

Know that He, the Lord, is God.
He made us, we belong to him,
We are his people, the sheep of his flock.

Go within His Gates, Give thanks.
Enter his courts with songs of praise.
Give thanks to Him and bless His name.

Indeed, how good is the Lord,
eternal his merciful love.
He is faithful from age to age.
